On 26 May 2016 TV2 aired the programme “Operation X” in which it was revealed that some companies take advantage of EU citizens, who are migrant workers in Denmark, as cheap labour

As a migrant worker you must perform effective and genuine work for a minimum of 10-12 hours per week and be able to document this in order to receive SU.

If you experience that your employment does not live up to the regulations, and you are being used as cheap labour, you can turn to a trade union or a solicitor (for example Legal Aid) for help.

If you experience that your employer does not report your wages to SKAT, you can contact SKAT and get help to what you should do.
